Pitch Cartoon Concept

Pitching is the process of informing an audience of your ideas by using words, sounds, expressions, acting, and/or visuals of various sorts. You will show an animation that you have created from scratch this year to the class while pitching your cartoon idea.

Write a paragraph(s) to present to the class about your idea(s) for a cartoon group project that will last for about 12 days.
You have the opportunity to be a director during this project and have a crew of cartoonist create your idea. Present your ideas to the class to recruit peers to participate. If you like another student's pitch and want to work with them you are allowed to if they need you and your skills.
Some ideas may only need a few people to help while another's ideas may require a dozen students or more.

Don't forget to type your cartoon concept in your "MM LIst of Ideas" Word document. Below is information of the basic expectations.

Cartoon Summary- This section should consist of your cartoon idea. This is what you will present to the class. You will “pitch” your concept to the class and show something you have created in Flash this year. Your concept should be a short story. It should have a beginning, middle, and ending. You should introduce your main characters and the basic story. What happens? What’s the point, the purpose, and the message of your story? What’s funny? What’s unique? Make it entertaining, clear, and to the point. Your pitch needs to be around 90 seconds long. It shouldn’t be shorter than one minute or longer than three. Your written pitch should be between one and three paragraphs.
You can read it, act it out, or have a partner help present it’s equal contribution by both.

We will submit the best cartoons to various festivals such as the AFF, SXSW, AISD Film Festival and they will be played at the Multimedia Festival coming up in May.

For homework you are responsible for preparing your pitch (verbal and visuals).
